Hi, I'm Chris. My wife Jen and I are trying for what seems like the umpteenth time to get healthy and drop some pounds. Our biggest problem is that we eat out. We eat out a lot! We travel all over with our kids who play AAU basketball, so from about Nov - July we are running the roads, which means eating out. We need to figure out a good mix of smarter choices when we eat out with packing healthy options so we eat out less frequently.
I want to lose about 40 pounds. Jen wants to lose more than that (I'll leave it up to her to tell you if she wants). I weigh 230.6 right now and I want to get to 190ish. I am 6'3 so I don't want to look like a stick.
We have decided to try to not look like Flabby McButterbritches when we go to the beach in June. That gives us about 4 months to get something done. Jen bought Chalean Extreme. To be honest, I had never heard of it. But it looks like a high intensity workout with weights. It comes from the same people that produce Beach Body (at least I think it does, it is on their website).
We will chronicle our 4 month journey to "Beach Week". It is our hope that you can find some humor or inspiration in our weight loss experience. Will we make it? I hope so... for the sake of the poor souls that will have to see us in our swim suits!
